Senior Purchasing
Manager - Job#213
A family owned Apparel Company is looking for a motivated and qualified candidate to
fulfill an opening for a Purchasing Manager.
MAIN FUNCTION
You will be leading a purchasing team to ensure that corporate cost reduction goals are met. Manage, train, and develop team to comply with short and long term goals for the acquisition of material in support of the design and inventory management of product lines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan, organize and implement purchasing actions, which will ensure material is available to support company objectives.

Conduct or support supplier surveys and audits in order to develop new supply sources as required.

Ensure that timely negotiations of contracts are being adhered to. Suggest contract enhancements and review and approve agreements for the procurement of goods and services.

Review and approve purchases.

Adhere to compliance laws, regulations, and developments affecting purchase and delivery of items procured.

Work with trade associations and vendors to develop information and contacts in order to aid purchasing.

Develop costing and benchmarking for current and new products.

Conducts all business transactions consistent with Bose Purchasing ethical standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
-
8+ years experience in purchasing and or operations in a large, multi-warehouse/multi-business unit environment.

Direct experience in a variety of commodities procured from a GLOBAL SUPPLY BASE.
-
Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) preferred.
